Full job description

PCN Accountants Limited is a growing and client-focused accountancy practice committed to delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and business advisory services. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our professional team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Prepare corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns, and other tax compliance work.
Manage bookkeeping using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
Liaise with HMRC and clients regarding tax and accounting matters.
Assist clients with financial queries and provide professional advice.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and relevant tax legislation.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation.
Experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
ACCA, ACA, or AAT qualified/part-qualified is desirable but not essential.
Bachelors degree is essential
