The Alba

Our newest Morro building, The Alba, is opening soon in Canada Water and we are looking for a fantastic team to join our General Manager and welcome our first residents.

Just a stones throw from Canada Water station, The Alba is getting ready to welcome residents who want to live in beautifully designed communal spaces, facilities to work from home - including call booths, lounges and quiet zones - plus an onsite gym. Our team will deliver 24/7 support, creating a warm and friendly environment where residents can feel relaxed in their home.

About Morro

Building from our successful student product, Scape, Morro is creating a new way to live. Our design-led properties have everything residents need to feel at home. Thoughtfully designed and created with the resident in mind, we put personal space first whilst providing access to a variety of shared social spaces.

We know that every resident is different. That's why all of our buildings have a state-of-the-art fitness studio, cinema room, family-style kitchen, co-working spaces and communal areas to relax in how they prefer. Once settled, residents can take advantage of a range of services including regular fresh grocery deliveries, laundry services, access to a personal trainer, exciting brand partnerships and social events on the doorstep.

Maintenance Operative

As Maintenance Operative you will support the Maintenance Manager in the completion of all pro-active and re-active works alongside maintaining building safety.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work, training will be provided, basic knowledge of general property maintenance preferred. (basic painting skills required)

· Carry out fault finding and leak investigations.

· Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations.

· Comply with Health and Safety processes and responsibilities.

· Complete work reports on an iPad

· Work as part of the maintenance team and under your own initiative

· Liaise and communicate with residents in person, over the phone and via email – keeping them informed of every step until their query is resolved

· Ensure jobs are completed as per the SLA

· Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levels.

· Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy, and equipment is checked on a regular basis.

· Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager and outside contractors.

· Sign in and assist specialist sub-contractors when required.

· Replace light switches, light bulbs and fixtures.

· Control and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit site

· Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs

Hours: 40 hours per week, shift patterns to cover Monday – Sunday. You will also be part of an on-call rota.

Onboarding: As part of our onboarding process all candidates will be asked to complete a DBS check and provide 3 years previous reference history.
