Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Physiotherapist to support our healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting qualified physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients across various settings, including hospitals and clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in physiotherapy, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Duties

Assist qualified physiotherapists in conducting assessments and developing personalised treatment programmes.
Support patients through mobilisation exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities under supervision.
Monitor and record patient progress, updating treatment records accurately.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient documentation.
Maintain professional knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and current physiotherapy practices to ensure effective support.

Skills

Prior experience in hospital settings or with paediatric patients is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in patient care and rehabilitation.
Organised with the ability to follow detailed treatment protocols accurately.
Ability to work well within a team environment while demonstrating initiative when required.
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support effective assistance during therapy sessions.
