Full job description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Instructor to join our growing training school in the Luton/Bedfordshire area.

We’re not just looking for an instructor—we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people succeed and can make learning to drive an HGV an enjoyable experience.

What we’re looking for

Around 30–35 years old (or someone with a similar energetic and approachable personality)
Holds a valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence
Excellent communication skills
Patient, calm and encouraging
Friendly, positive and easy to get along with
A good sense of humour who can help learners feel relaxed
Professional and reliable
Passionate about helping people pass their test and become safe, confident drivers

What we don’t want

Grumpy or impatient attitude
Someone who shouts or makes learners feel uncomfortable
Poor timekeeping or lack of professionalism

What you’ll be doing

Delivering Class 1 (C+E) practical driving lessons
Preparing learners for their DVSA driving test
Providing clear, constructive feedback
Creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment
Representing our company in a professional manner
