Job Summary

Join our vibrant culinary team as a Dessert Assistant, where your passion for sweet creations and food artistry will shine! In this energetic role, you will support the dessert station by preparing, baking, and assembling a variety of delectable desserts that delight our guests. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences, ensuring every sweet treat meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food production expertise in a lively kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and assembly of a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, mousses, and other confections
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all dessert offerings
Support baking processes by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and monitoring oven temperatures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dessert station to adhere to food safety standards
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of desserts for service
Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
Ensure all desserts are presented attractively and meet the establishment’s visual standards

Experience

Previous experience in food production or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Familiarity with food preparation techniques, especially baking and dessert assembly, is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices is important for maintaining a safe work environment
Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting will help you thrive in this fast-paced role
Basic culinary skills such as measuring ingredients accurately and understanding kitchen equipment are beneficial
