Full job description

Purpose of the RoleTo lead the day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales and profitability, and creating a welcoming environment for customers and team members. The role is responsible for supporting and developing the team, maintaining high operational standards, and working collaboratively with the owners to achieve the long-term success and values of the business.

Key Responsibilities

*Lead, motivate, and support the team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.

*Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to build a skilled, knowledgeable, and customer-focused team.

*Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer receives quality products and a welcoming shopping experience.

*Drive sales, profitability, and business growth through effective day-to-day management and assist in commercial decision-making when required by the senior management team.

*Work in line with head office planograms and store layout guidelines to ensure consistent product placement and presentation.

*Ensure compliance with all health and safety and legal requirements, maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.

*Monitor business performance, analysing sales, and operational results to identify opportunities for improvement.

*Plan and coordinate staffing levels, rotas, and daily operations to ensure the business runs efficiently.

*Implement improvements to business processes and adapt to changing customer and business needs.

*Work closely with the business owners to achieve strategic goals, maintain the company's values, and support the long-term success of the business.

Skills and Experience

*Previous retail management experience preferred.

*Strong leadership, excellent communication skills and people management skills.

*Commercial awareness with experience following store layout guidelines preferred.

*Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

*Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

*Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service.

Pay: From £29,000.00 per year

Experience:

management: 2 years (preferred)
Customer service: 5 years (preferred)
