Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines excellent customer service with retail duties and basic accounts administration. If you enjoy working with people, take pride in maintaining high standards, and have good attention to detail, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers with their enquiries.
Processing sales transactions accurately using the till/POS system.
Replenishing stock and ensuring shelves are well presented and fully stocked.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe shop environment.
Handling account payments and accurately charging purchases to customer accounts.
Assisting with basic accounts administration and maintaining accurate records.
Receiving and checking deliveries.
Supporting colleagues with the day-to-day running of the store.
Following company procedures for cash handling, health and safety, and customer service.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential).
Basic knowledge of account payments and charging goods or services to customer accounts.
Good numeracy and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.

Working Hours

We are looking for someone who can offer flexibility across our shop opening hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The role is approximately 30-40 hours per week, worked over five days, with shifts of around 6-8 hours.

The successful candidate will also be required to work one Saturday in every three as part of the normal rota.
