Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and organised Part-Time Office & Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our growing fire door business.

The role will involve approximately 16 hours per week, with flexibility around how these hours are worked. This could suit someone looking for flexible or school-hours work.

The main responsibilities will include:

Responding to customer emails and general enquiries
Managing and updating the company calendar
Booking jobs, inspections and appointments into the diary
Preparing and issuing fire door certificates following completed works
Completing and updating reports and other job documentation
Liaising with myself regarding new enquiries received by telephone and arranging the appropriate follow-up
Following up outstanding customer enquiries where required
Keeping customer and job records organised and up to date
Sending completed certificates, reports and other documentation to customers
Helping ensure upcoming jobs have the necessary information and paperwork in place
General administrative support and helping ensure enquiries, bookings and paperwork do not get missed

Fire door knowledge is not essential, as training will be provided on our processes, certificates and documentation.

The ideal person will be organised, reliable, confident communicating with customers and comfortable using email, calendars and basic computer systems. Attention to detail is particularly important due to the compliance-related nature of our work.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) as desirable, not essential.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 16.0 per week

Work Location: Remote
