Job Overview

Piroto Labelling Limited is medium size Company employing 40+ staff. Operating independently since 1987, we produce a wide variety of printed label and tag products for many well known companies. We recognise that Piroto’s success has been in being our customer’s go to for exceptional customer service, always meeting a challenge with a positive attitude and being helpful.

It is an exciting time to join Piroto following recent investment in new equipment and the acquisition of a digital printing company allows us to keep up with growing demand and lays the foundations for our future goals.

A vacancy has arisen in our Finishing department for a Finishing Operator

Above all, we are interested in hearing from people who are willing to ‘have a go’ , meet any challenge with a positive response and who are prepared to give the commitment needed in order to learn the ropes. You must be stimulated by an environment which is Customer-driven and successful. The willingness to be flexible around working hours and a desire to ensure the job is completed to meet customer requirements would be a key attribute.

Responsibilities

To set and operate label finishing equipment including, slitter rewinders, coreless and fan folding machines.
To ensure correct packing of finished work including work with sequential and variable data.
Inspect and control the quality of finished work.
Completion of relevant job documentation, traceability, cleaning and maintenance forms etc.
Ensure to keep a clean and tidy work area.

Experience

A minimum of 12 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of using a slitter rewind machine or any print finishing equipment would be a distinct advantage. Proven experience of machine operation in any manufacturing environment would be desirable.

Qualifications

We seek a high calibre individual educated to GCSE (minimum 5 grades A-C including English and Mathematics) or the equivalent.

We seek a self-confident person who is by nature a team player, and with the ability to manage their responsibilities without constant guidance or direction.
Must possess well developed communication skills both verbal and written and be able to understand and follow instruction

Methodical and well organised
Accurate with a strong eye for detail
A willingness to be flexible with respect to working hours
A desire to improve and learn different machines and skills.
