Full job description

Vacancy- Receptionist /administrator

Hours approx. 19 hours - rota hours between 8am-6.30pm Monday- Friday

Salary £ depending on experience plus NHS Pension Scheme

Location Betws Y Coed Surgery

Salary :£12.71 /hour

Front Desk & Patient Services

· Serve as the first point of contact for patients, greeting them politely and assessing their needs.

· Answer incoming telephone calls,booking appointments and handle queries, and take accurate messages for the clinical team.

· Manage sensitive information, ensuring strict patient confidentiality and data protection compliance at all times.

· Liaise with various health care professionals as per requirement

Administration & Clinical Support

· Process and manage repeat prescription requests in accordance with strict practice guidelines.

· Handle patient registrations (including new NHS patients and temporary residents) and safely process patient deductions.

· Sort, scan, and file incoming clinical mail, hospital letters, and test results, forwarding them to the relevant GP.

· Provide clerical support such as processing medical reports, handling emails, and managing practice records.

The person will be required as part of the contract to cover annual leave rota as extra hours , given 3-4 weeks notice.

Emergency sickness cover is also essential.
