Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working with SAGE X3 and SAGE50 payroll.

You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth processing of financial transactions, managing data entry tasks, payroll and supporting accounts payable functions to keep our financial operations running seamlessly.

This opportunity is perfect for someone that is already experienced as an Accounts Assistant that aspires to progress into an Assistant Accountant role.

Duties

Processing the weekly payroll for circa 190 employees
Agency timesheet
Payroll journals
Full Purchase ledger Control – End to End
Full Credit control – End to End
Expense Control
SharePoint Accounts ownership
Bank Reconciliations
Accruals & prepayments to support the Management Accountant
Business Partner Support
Project appraisal support, including the automation of accounting functions
Adhoc tasks from Management Accountant

Previous experience/Skills

Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred.
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles is essential.
SAGE X3 or SAGE50 payroll experience desired
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation, can do attitude and someone seeking to progress their accounting career. ·

This role would suit a candidate that is studying an AAT.

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-12:00

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
