Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse by picking and packing orders, receiving deliveries, and preparing orders for dispatch.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently. Previous warehouse experience and or forklift licence is preferred

Duties

Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas up to 30kg
Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely
Managing stock levels and inventory movements
Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all items are correctly documented
Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
Ensuring the workspace remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
Supporting overall daily warehouse operations

Skills

Competence in operating forklift trucks and familiarity with warehouse management is desirable
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and quality control
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload activities
Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift
Confident serving and assisting customers at the warehouse trade counter in a friendly and professional manner.

Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
