Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic part-time medical receptionist to join our friendly team. The role is varied to suit the needs of the practice and can be flexible, working days are Monday-Friday 8.30am - 6pm but shifts will be within these times. This post is a job share, therefore you will need to be flexible to cover holidays and sickness.

Duties

The postholder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required. This role has a lot of contact with patients face to face and via the telephone. Dealing with the post and scanning. IT skills are essential.

About us

We are a small friendly surgery in Leeswood on the outskirts of Mold. We have just over 2300 patients. The surgery has 1 GP partner and 2 salaried GP's.

Job responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors, answer phones, and provide information or route calls to the appropriate person.
Book, confirm, and schedule appointments
Maintain and update patient records, manage correspondence, scan letters to patient records.
Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and welcoming.
Act as a liaison between patients and clinical staff.

Person Specification/ExperienceEssential

Excellent communication skills
Able to work in a busy office and deal with a number of different tasks

Desirable

Experience of working in GP practice
Previous experience with EMIS would be advantageous

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
