Full job description

Overview
LG Pharmacy are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and looking to develop their skills within a professional pharmacy environment. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team of like-minded individuals with great depth and experience in the pharmacy world, all working together towards common goals.

Responsibilities

Label and dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications
Support inventory management by stock checking and ordering stock in a cost-effectice manner as needed
Uphold confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times
Contribute to a welcoming and professional atmosphere for patients and staff

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar healthcare support role is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
Strong commitment to patient care and excellent organisational skills are essential
Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (pharmacy manager) is beneficial but not mandatory
