Full job description

Job Title: Commis Chef

Reporting to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

Location: Mullion Cove Hotel & Spa

Department: Kitchen

Overview

To work as part of a team, consistently delivering Mullion Cove Hotel standards in food production and service.

Main Responsibilities

1. To follow and maintain all procedures (HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Food Safety Management) to the required standards to which training has been received.

2. To adapt and respond to different shift patterns and section needs.

3. To respond maturely to any given situation without hesitation.

4. To report all important issues back to senior chef.

5. To communicate effectively within the section.

6. To contribute to the daily MEP of the section.

7. To follow strict rules of personal hygiene.

8. To prepare and serve food dishes

9. To be adaptable within the team

10. To report any sickness immediately to a senior chef.

11. To accurately record working hours

12. To show understanding of food cost and produce.

13. To show alertness, vigilance and attention to detail of all work.

14. To be proactive in self development.

15. Comply with all Company Policies and legal requirements with special reference to Health and Safety.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
