Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various roofing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in roofing and general construction within a dynamic environment. The position involves working outdoors on diverse projects, requiring physical stamina and a proactive attitude. All roles are paid, with opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth. Uniform included.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Prepare work sites by organising materials and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers
Handle heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
Operate and maintain various power tools safely and effectively
Support fabrication tasks, including cutting and shaping materials to specifications
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety regulations
Assist in the installation of related systems such as plumbing or masonry components when required

Qualifications

Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques is advantageous
Knowledge of roofing systems, schematics, welding, carpentry, plumbing, masonry or related skills is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on rooftops or scaffolding
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Physically fit with the stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong teamwork ethic with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards

This role is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in roofing or construction, offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
