Pre-Litigation Fee Earner

Location: Preston, Lancashire (Office Based)
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Us

Reuben Myers Solicitors is a growing litigation practice based in Preston, acting for clients across England and Wales. We specialise in claimant litigation with a strong focus on Road Traffic Accidents, Credit Hire, Vehicle Damage and Personal Injury claims.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Pre-Litigation Fee Earner to join our busy pre- litigation team.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of pre-litigation matters from instruction through to settlement or transfer to litigation. The successful candidate will be confident handling files with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent client care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a caseload of pre-litigation RTA matters.
Handling Personal Injury, Vehicle Damage, Credit Hire, Storage and Recovery claims.
Reviewing liability and quantum evidence.
Drafting letters of claim and other pre-action correspondence.
Liaising with clients, insurers, accident management companies, credit hire organisations and third parties.
Negotiating settlements.
Ensuring compliance with the Pre-Action Protocols.
Preparing files for litigation where settlement cannot be achieved.
Maintaining accurate file management and case progression.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience handling claimant RTA files.
Good understanding of Personal Injury and Credit Hire claims.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional and client-focused approach.

Desirable

Experience using Proclaim Case Management System.
Experience with the MOJ Portal and OIC Portal.
