The Millwood Mortgage Company Southport

Full-time, Monday to Friday, Office-based

Fancy a proper career in financial services rather than just another job? This could be the ideal first step — no experience needed, just plenty of ambition and a willingness to learn.

The Millwood Mortgage Co is a growing whole-of-market mortgage and protection brokerage with a friendly, close-knit team. We're looking for someone bright, organised and keen to get stuck in. From day one you'll be working on real client cases — liaising with lenders, estate agents and solicitors, and learning how the mortgage industry works from experienced advisers rather than out of a textbook.

Plenty of successful advisers started out in exactly this sort of role. Prove yourself here and there's a genuine route through to becoming a fully qualified mortgage adviser, with our backing every step of the way.

What you'll be doing

Looking after mortgage cases from Decision in Principle right through to completion
Liaising with lenders, estate agents, solicitors and surveyors to keep everything moving
Submitting applications through lender portals and chasing up valuations and mortgage offers
Checking clients' documents — payslips, bank statements, proof of deposit — against lender criteria
Keeping clients in the loop and reassured at every stage, right up to getting the keys
Keeping our CRM up to date, staying on top of deadlines, and making sure everything meets FCA standards

Who we're looking for

Someone ambitious and genuinely keen to build a career in financial services — experience is a bonus, but attitude counts for more
A sharp eye for detail — in this job, the small things really matter
Confident with numbers, and able to communicate clearly and professionally on the phone and by email
Well organised, able to juggle several cases at once without letting anything slip
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new systems
Someone who asks questions, takes ownership and wants to improve week on week
