Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with different materials, including sheet metal. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial part in ensuring high-quality standards are met in all projects.

Duties

Perform TIG and Stick welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications
Conduct fabrication of components, including sheet metal work, to meet design requirements
Assemble parts and components accurately while maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Carry out routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality control

Experience

Proven experience in welding, particularly with TIG and Stick methods
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is advantageous
