Full job description

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator, full time – Minimum 8 hours per day, plus overtime, based in Newport, NP20. Permanent position with long term prospects. Working as part of a small family like team. Weekly paid. Immediate start possible. Company Pension Scheme.

Excellent rates of pay for the right individual. UK RESIDENTS ONLY need apply.

Duties

You MUST be experienced in fabrication of structural and secondary steelwork, plus staircases, balconies and balustrading.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Fabricate and weld components to a high standard, working to technical drawings.
Operate Workshop machinery, such as band saws, metalworking machines, burning gear, grinders and drills.
All work is Workshop based.

Skills

Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator using MIG welding procedures.
Understand fabrication drawings.
Commitment to high standards and meeting deadlines.
Time served & welding certificates preferred, but not essential.
Must be prepared to undertake coded weld tests for fillet, butt & pipe to plate.
