Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to manage sourcing and supplier relationships for our wholesale building materials business. As a B2B supplier working with clients across the UK and Ireland, your primary focus will be securing the best possible terms from suppliers, ensuring reliable stock availability, and keeping our cost base competitive.

This is a hands-on procurement role covering the full purchasing cycle, from supplier sourcing and negotiation through to order management and delivery tracking. You will work closely with our sales team to ensure stock levels match demand and with finance to keep spend within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of building materials to secure competitive pricing and terms
Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate quantities, pricing, and delivery timelines
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the sales team to forecast demand and avoid shortages or overstocking
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new sourcing opportunities
Track supplier performance (price, quality, delivery reliability) and address issues as they arise
Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain without compromising quality
Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular reporting to management

Requirements:

Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable supplier terms
Background in construction or building materials is an advantage, but not required
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple supplier relationships at once
Excellent communication skills, both with suppliers and internal teams
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Access to a computer, phone, internet, and a quiet workspace

Working Hours:

8-hour workday, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Fully remote

Pay: £2,500.00-£3,000.00 per month
