Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable operating flatbed vehicles and has experience in commercial driving.

Duties

Operate 26 ton lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Plan routes effectively, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transit.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road.

Skills

Proven experience in driving, particularly with rigid vehicles.
Strong commercial driving skills, with a valid HGV licence preferred.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local roads and routes.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
