Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction, gardening, and maintenance projects, with a focus on landscape upkeep and site preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, practical skills in using hand and power tools, and a willingness to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions. This position offers valuable experience in horticulture, irrigation systems, and mechanical maintenance, making it an excellent opportunity for those interested in construction or gardening careers.

Responsibilities

Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and general garden care
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment including excavators and irrigation systems
Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, moving materials, and assisting with basic building tasks
Conducting routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
Digging trenches, laying foundations, or installing fixtures as required
Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organised to promote safety standards
Assisting skilled tradespersons with specialised tasks as needed
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during site operations

Experience

Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is advantageous
Experience operating excavators or irrigation systems is a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge of construction or horticulture practices will be considered an asset
A proactive attitude with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
