Animal Rescue Carer (Kennels) Job, initial six month contract to include working two and a half weekends out of four.

Description Job Title: Animal Rescue Carer (Kennels)

Department: Lincoln Farm

Responsible to: Centre Manager

Location: Lincoln Farm, Bere road, Winterborne Kingston, Blandford, Dorset

Main Purpose of the Role: If you would like to be part of a team who is passionate about giving the best possible care to hundreds of rescue animals each year, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! At our Lincoln Farm centre, near Bere Regis in Dorset, we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs. This role would particularly suit you if you relish being active and outdoors, throughout the year, spending time helping deserving dogs by offering daily care, training, enrichment & rehabilitation. Our team is proud to provide great supporter care, and a part of this role includes sensitively helping those needing to rehome their animals and making wonderful matches with potential new families.

Essential:

· Enthusiasm & passion for delivering great care and welfare to rescue dogs. A Desire to work well within a friendly & inclusive team.

· Happy to share lots of time outdoors with four-legged friends, come rain or shine. Keen to support dog rehoming processes and deliver high standards of supporter services.

· Confident when promoting the work, aims, mission & values of the charity. Recognition of the importance of representing the charity in a professional & caring manner

· Enjoy carrying out tasks that are physically demanding

· A full, current, manual driving license.

Desirable:

· An animal care qualification and / or experience of working (or volunteering) with dogs

· Experience within a customer services role

· Knowledge of IT packages (Microsoft and databases)

· Experience of working or volunteering at a kennels

· Previously or currently working or volunteering within the charity sector

Job Details:

· As an Animal Rescue Carer (kennels), you will work with us for 37.5 hours per week (changing shifts between the hours of 7am-6pm), to include working two and a half weekends out of four, in return for a salary of £12.71 per hour. Due to the nature of the work and our resources, it may at times be necessary to exceed these hours when we have an increased workload. We look forward to receiving your application
