Job Overview

This position is for a experienced groundworker only. Please don't apply if you have no experience. This is not a labourers position.
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on site.

Responsibilities

Carry out excavation and backfilling tasks as directed by site supervisors.
Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other essential groundwork.
Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all materials are stored correctly.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
To be able to read plans and understand levels etc.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Ability to operate basic construction machinery is advantageous.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate.
A commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols on site.
