Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking to recruit an experienced butcher to work in our busy shop and become part of the friendly team.

Salary – competitive depending on experience.

Please attach a CV detailing your experience in retail butchery.

Duties

Prepare, cut, trim, and package a variety of meats according to safety standards and customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including equipment and workstations
Assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on cuts, cooking methods, and food preparation tips
Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed.
Restock shelves regularly to ensure fresh, appealing displays that meet quality standards
Support the development of new meat products or specials that meet customer demand and enhance sales

Experience

Experience in retail butchery environment
Strong background in butchery techniques and food preparation methods
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling perishable goods
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about product options and food preparation tips

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
