The Opportunity

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Multi Skilled Operative to join our Hulands Asphalt Plant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll support the safe and efficient production of asphalt while helping to keep the site running smoothly day to day.

You’ll work across a rotating shift pattern of Monday to Friday 05:30–15:00 and 20:00–02:00, with some weekend working as well. The role includes a rotating week of days and nights, although night shifts can be more sporadic depending on operational requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, practical work and learning new skills within a busy plant environment.

Experience working on a weighbridge would be highly beneficial, and full training can be provided across other areas of the operation including loading shovel duties and asphalt mixing processes.

What You'll be Doing

Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant
Operating the weighbridge and assisting with vehicle movements and customer collections
Assisting with asphalt production, mixing operations and material handling duties
Carrying out loading shovel operations and supporting general plant activities following training
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and basic plant maintenance across the site

Who you are

You’re dependable, flexible and comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
You enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining a safe and organised working environment
You communicate effectively with drivers, contractors and colleagues onsite
You’re willing to learn new skills and support different operational areas as required
Experience with mobile and fixed plant is good to have.
