Bookkeeper & Office Administrator

Location: Wilton, Wiltshire
Hours: 4 days per week (office-based)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Join the Team at RJ Electrical & Plumbing

We are looking for an experienced, organised, and proactive Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to join our friendly team in Wilton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to play an important part in supporting a growing business.

About the Role

Working four days a week from our Wilton office, you will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and office administration that keeps the business running efficiently. You'll work closely with the Office Manager and Directors to support the wider team, helping to ensure our finances, administration, and customer service are all managed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate financial records using Sage and Xero.
Process sales and purchase invoices.
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Liaise with our external accountant.

Office Administration

Answer telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage emails and office correspondence.
Maintain customer records and filing systems.
Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Directors.

About You

Essential

Previous experience in a bookkeeping and office administration role.
Proven experience using both Sage and Xero accounting software.
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage multiple tasks.
A professional, reliable, and positive approach to work.
