Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food service, looking to contribute to a welcoming and organised kitchen setting. The position is perfect for those seeking flexible hours while honing their cooking skills.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and dietary requirements
Food preparation, including cooking from scratch and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food safety standards and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after shifts
Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
Assist with meal presentation to ensure dishes are served attractively and promptly
Ensure paperwork is completed

Skills

Proven experience in cooking within a professional kitchen
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and ingredient handling
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requests

8.30am - 1.30pm Fridays, must hold a valid level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, the ideal candidate would have the ability to also cover staff holidays and sickness.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
