Are you an experienced TIG Welding Operative looking for a new opportunity?
Eclipse Magnetics, part of the Spear & Jackson Group, is looking for a skilled TIG Welder to join our operations team at our Atlas site in Sheffield. This is a welding-led role, suited to someone who takes genuine pride in producing high-quality TIG welds in stainless steel and understands the importance of precision in engineered products.
Your primary focus will be TIG welding stainless steel components and assemblies to a consistently high cosmetic and structural standard. Working from detailed technical drawings, you will weld parts that form filters, vessels and other specialist equipment, often to food-grade requirements. You will be responsible for inspecting your own welds, ensuring they meet specification, and maintaining the level of finish expected of our products. While some fabrication knowledge is useful, this role is centred firmly on welding expertise.
In addition to welding, you will carry out finishing work such as buffing and polishing, operate associated workshop equipment safely, and ensure your tools and work area are well maintained. The environment is fast paced, so you will need to be self-motivated, capable of working to deadlines, and comfortable managing your own workload without close supervision.
Experience of welding filters or vessels would be advantageous, and MIG experience is helpful, but strong TIG capability is essential.
We are looking for someone who can confidently read and interpret engineering drawings, understands the standards required in high-quality stainless-steel work, and takes pride in getting the details right. You should be able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team, particularly during busy periods.
This is a fully site-based role at our Atlas facility in Sheffield, with no remote or hybrid option.
