Job Summary

ACCOUNTS OFFICE MANAGER – Part Time

25 – 30 hours per week

Closing Date: 4th September 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and organized Accounts Office Manager to join a busy family-owned retail business in Long Eaton

This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day Accounts function.

The Role

Gain a full understanding of the Purchase Ledger & our Stock Management System
Supervising the part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk
Managing the Sales Ledger
Balancing Aged Debtors Accounts between Sage 50 & the Stock Management System
VAT Returns
Advising the MD on compliance implications relating to ad hoc transactions / projects
Monitoring the DLA
Reconciling all bank & credit cards accounts
Supporting other departments & working closely with the Store Manager
General ad hoc office duties

About You

The ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assimilate to new situations with ease
A friendly & approachable manner
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.

Experience / Qualifications: (Required)

Current Sage 50 Accounting: (minimum 2 years)
Strong Excel skills
AAT Level 3
