Full job description

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Chef to join our owner & team with our growing family business that has been established coming up to 11 years

We are a traditional family run country Pub and Restaurant with 6 Accommodation rooms & a holiday cottage. We cook homemade classic dishes at a high standard, using all locally sourced produce where available.

As a Chef you will be working closely with the owner & team, with the opportunity to design and create exciting menus which change throughout the year and daily special's that change daily and weekly using all local products. You must be willing to work on all sections of the kitchen and be open to working flexibly as the business requires.

Key Skills & Job Role:

Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are completed daily with a min off level 2 food hygiene
Able to work as a team and as an individual
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Must be able to work split shifts and understand that our busiest times of the year are weekends and holiday periods
Must understand traditional classic dining but also have the ability to adapt to serving modern bar food as and when required.
Must be a good communicator, willing to follow instructions and keep calm under pressure.
To be able to assist the Head Chef/owner and cover for the Head Chef/owners. You must be able to step up to the managerial responsibilities of running the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
Versatile and willing to try new ideas & input new ideas into the business

We would prefer the ideal candidate to have the following

Food Hygiene Certificate

NVQ Qualifications 2

Own Transport an advantage to too our country location.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
