Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
Handle food preparation tasks .
Maintain cleanliness of the shop area, including cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and utensils.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers positively and efficiently.

Requirements

Previous experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different responsibilities as needed.
