Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an Office Administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will often be the first point of contact for existing and potential Clients so attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality written and verbal contact with our clients are key skills, alongside a practical approach and common sense. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel are essential, together with good English and numeracy.

Included with all the usual general office duties, the role will include:

Working directly for the Planning Consultants, producing and conveying written advice to Clients and preparation of fee invoices;
Submission of planning applications and appeals electronically via the Planning Portal;
Upkeep and maintenance of electronic staff diaries;
Weekly report of new instructions and enquiries to key staff;
Obtaining quotations from external consultants, following up responses and feedback to Clients;
Purchasing all office supplies from housekeeping to stationery;
Archive filing and maintenance of systems.

This position will be fulfilled by attending our modern, air-conditioned offices with on-site parking in Wells. There is currently no opportunity for home-working in this role.

Whilst a Full-Time position is being offered, we may be open to considering a Job Share for two suitable candidates .

As a holistic consultancy, we understand the complexities of the planning process and are committed to creating ambitious yet achievable designs that consistently exceed client's expectations.

Our highly professional, multidisciplinary team holds chartered membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of planning, architecture, and development.

Terms and Benefits

Hours of work are 9 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday with half an hour for lunch
Salary £27,000 - £30,000 (full-time) per annum depending on experience
Company Pension Scheme after three months
Company Sick Pay Scheme
25 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays
Free on-site parking

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
