Thorney Croft Care Home

£12.71 per hour | 18 hours per week

Are you a creative, caring and enthusiastic person who loves making a difference? Thorney Croft Care Home is looking for an Activity Coordinator to join our friendly team and help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, encouraging participation, and making every day enjoyable for older people living in our care.

What You'll Do

Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
Organise individual and group activities including games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, reminiscence sessions and celebrations.
Encourage residents to participate while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and the wider team.
Arrange visits from entertainers, local community groups and volunteers.
Support seasonal events, themed days and special occasions.
Keep accurate records of activities and resident participation.
Help create a warm, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home.

What We're Looking For

A positive, energetic and compassionate approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creativity and confidence in leading activities.
The ability to motivate and engage people with a range of needs and abilities.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Previous experience in a care setting or activities role is desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older people.
