Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Ground Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ground maintenance and construction tasks that ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will contribute significantly to the successful completion of projects, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while making a tangible impact on community spaces.

Responsibilities

Assist with excavation, grading, drainage, kerbing and site preparation activities to lay the groundwork for Lodge Park Development
Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently under supervision
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment
Support team members in setting up work zones, loading materials, and transporting supplies around the site
Conduct inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues requiring attention
Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications

Proven experience or training in ground work, , or construction support roles is mandatory
Ticketed for machinery for Diggers, Dumper and 360.
Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Knowledge of safety procedures related to ground work and construction sites is advantageous
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
