Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a Construction Labourer, you will assist skilled tradespeople and contribute to a variety of tasks across different phases of construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting the creation of quality infrastructure.

Duties

Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and welders in their daily tasks
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
Help with roofing, plastering, masonry, and construction painting as needed
Handle fabrication and basic carpentry work under supervision
Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and assembly
Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of waste and storing tools properly

Skills

Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Basic knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and carpentry techniques
Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
Safety-conscious attitude with understanding of construction site safety protocols
