Horton Cross Nursing Home, part of the Sentimental Care Group, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager/Clinic Lead to support our Registered Manager in leading our dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day management of our welcoming nursing home, ensuring our residents receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Horton Cross Nursing Home is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk, children and young people. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.

About the Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help oversee the daily operation of the home, providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and current legislation. You will lead by example, inspire the team and drive continuous improvements in quality and resident outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Registered Manager and deputising in their absence.
Leading, supervising and mentoring nursing and care teams.
Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive working culture.
Monitoring the quality of care and ensuring person-centred care plans are implemented effectively.
Supporting recruitment, induction, training and staff development.
Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practice.
Completing audits, risk assessments and quality assurance activities.
Promoting safeguarding, Duty of Candour and effective governance.
Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
Supporting the home during CQC inspections and implementing continuous improvement plans.
The role also includes providing clinical leadership, supporting complex care, medication management and maintaining high clinical standards.

Skills and knowledge

Essential

Evidence of up-to-date based knowledge and skills, particularly in older people's issues
Evidence of ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care and providing good governance
Evidence of professional development and knowledge
Able to analyse complex and challenging situations and problem solve as necessary
Evidence of leadership skills, promoting good practice and giving nurses and care team direction
Must hold current UK driving licence
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Must have a current PIN number.
Must be an RGN.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £44,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
