Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Coffee Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant coffee shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining a positive work environment for our team. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing food preparation, supervising staff, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all clients.

Duties

Oversee daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food and beverage offerings.
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to promote team development and efficiency.
Supervise food preparation processes to maintain quality standards and compliance with health regulations.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for customer satisfaction at all times.
Collaborate with suppliers to manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure product availability.
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones, enhancing the overall guest experience together with our marketing team.

Skills

Proven leadership skills with experience in team management within a hospitality setting.
Background in food preparation, preferably within a café, restaurant, or hotel environment.
Excellent supervisory abilities, capable of motivating staff while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members alike.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for coffee and knowledge of brewing techniques would be advantageous but is not essential.
