Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently at heights. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction trades to apply their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure waterproofing and structural integrity
Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
Measure roof dimensions accurately to ensure proper material quantities
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience in roofing, carpentry, or related construction trades is preferred
Knowledge of other building trades such as plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or welding is advantageous
Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fastening materials
Experience with fabrication techniques relevant to roofing projects is desirable
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety standards
