Location: Oxford

Contract: 52 weeks per year
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including occasional weekends as required

Salary: £41k

Job Description

As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the foodservice operation, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, financial performance, and compliance across the site.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team across catering, hospitality, and retail services.
Manage the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the contract.
Deliver exceptional customer and student experiences.
Manage budgets, forecasting, labour costs, and financial performance.
Drive innovation and continuously improve food and service offerings.
Build strong relationships with college stakeholders and clients.
Ensure all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and compliance standards are met.
Support hospitality and special events throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

Has previous experience as a General Manager, or senior catering/hospitality leader.
Has a strong financial and commercial understanding.
Demonstrates exceptional leadership and people development skills.
Is passionate about food, service, and creating memorable customer experiences.
Has experience managing large teams and multiple service streams.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities.
Holds relevant Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications (desirable)
