Job Summary

Join our team as a Relief Security Officer and become a vital part of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. In this dynamic role, you will provide flexible security coverage across various shifts, ensuring the safety of personnel, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent loss, respond swiftly to incidents, and uphold the highest standards of security operations. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and energetic environment.

Duties

Conduct surveillance activities using CCTV systems to monitor premises and identify suspicious activity or security breaches
Perform loss prevention measures by observing and deterring theft or vandalism within the facility
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, providing assistance as needed
Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations through shift reports and logs
Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors
Support first aid efforts by providing basic medical assistance when necessary and coordinating with emergency responders
Conduct visual inspections of the property to ensure safety protocols are followed and security equipment is operational

Qualifications

Proven experience in security or surveillance roles preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is highly desirable
Ability to perform loss prevention activities with attention to detail and discretion
Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks quickly
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
