Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented self employed Head Housekeeper - Spot Checker to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. In this vital role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms and public areas, and ensure that all housekeeping procedures align with our quality and safety standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a welcoming, spotless environment that enhances the guest experience and upholds our reputation for excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence service quality directly and develop your leadership skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, suites, and public spaces
Conduct regular spot checks and inspections to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hotel standards
Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational flow
Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
Provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to promote team development and motivation

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within the hospitality industry
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and hospitality best practices
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement during inspections
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
Good communication skills for clear instructions and positive interactions with staff and guests
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
Prior experience with hotel operations or supervisory roles is highly preferred
Must be available on Fridays and Mondays
