Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Assistant and play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our boarding dogs and cats. In this energetic position, you will provide essential care and support to animals in our kennel facilities, assisting with daily routines and maintaining a clean, organized environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for both animals and their owners, contributing to our mission of compassionate animal care.

Responsibilities

Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medications to animals according to veterinary instructions
Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report observations promptly
Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, treatments, and behaviors
Ensure the safety and security of animals by following proper handling protocols
Help with bookings for new arrivals and departing animals

Skills

Previous animal experience is highly desirable to understand animal health needs
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and dedication to their welfare
Attention to detail for record keeping and maintaining a clean environment
