Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers valuable experience in pharmaceutical services and patient interaction, contributing to the wellbeing of our community. The position is paid and ideal for individuals interested in developing their career within pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Support inventory management by stock checking and replenishing supplies as needed
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Offer compassionate patient care, addressing queries and providing guidance on medication adherence
Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and documentation

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and confidentiality
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure dispensing accuracy
Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced environment
