Painter & Decorator Wanted – Self-Employed

We are looking for several experienced Painters & Decorators to join our team on a self-employed basis.

Most of our work is on residential projects and we are looking for reliable individuals who can deliver high-quality work and follow the correct preparation process from start to finish, working on their own or as part of a team ( your own ).

Type of Work

This is piecework / price work, meaning each project is agreed at a fixed price before starting, rather than being paid based on how many hours or days it takes.

Please note:

Agreed prices are based on the visible scope of work before starting.
Extra costs may apply in unforeseen circumstances, such as plaster damage found after wallpaper removal or other hidden issues discovered during the works.
Payment remains in the region of £250.00 – £300.00 per day equivalent, depending on output and project value.
Cash payment can sometimes be arranged where appropriate.

What We Need

Applicants must have good experience in:

Repairs and making good
Surface preparation
Filling and sanding
Painting and decorating to a high standard

All work must follow a proper standard operating procedure, including:

Full surface protection to avoid damage to customer belongings
Filling imperfections properly
Sanding surfaces correctly
Applying paint neatly and professionally
Leaving the property clean and tidy afterwards

Requirements

Good experience as a Painter & Decorator
Ability to produce quality work consistently
Must be able to work independently and manage assigned jobs
Must speak at least a medium level of English
Must have own car / transport
Must hold a valid driving licence

A car is essential because for around 90% of jobs, materials need to be collected for the client. We can organise collections from decorating centres, but transport is required.
