Horizon Facades is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join our team on a façade remediation project in Cambridge.
This is a hands-on site management role for someone with strong experience delivering construction projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Experience within façade, remediation, cladding or external envelope projects would be highly advantageous.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the project, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme, drawings, specifications, quality requirements and health & safety standards.
You will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, site operatives, consultants and client representatives to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and activities on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site resources.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Manage site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure works meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
- Identify and resolve site issues and coordinate solutions with the project team.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Monitor progress against programme and report any delays or issues.
- Coordinate inspections, testing and quality assurance requirements.
- Assist with the management of variations, RFIs and technical queries.
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised and professional manner.
- Use Procore to manage project documentation, RFIs, inspections, drawings, records and site communications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience working on façade, cladding, remediation or external envelope projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site management.
- Proven experience using Procore is essential.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and site procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Ability to identify problems and drive practical solutions.
- Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid, are preferred.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a confident and professional Site Manager who can take ownership of the project and lead the site team effectively.
You will be organised, commercially aware and able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. A background in façade remediation or similar complex external envelope projects would be a significant advantage.
