Full job description

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire (working across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas)

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £31,000 to £37,000 per year, depending on tickets and experience. Plus profit share and £250 joining bonus.

We're also hiring Tree Surgery Team Leaders at £38,000 to £42,000. If you're ready to run a crew, ask about that one when you get in touch.

Waterman Tree Co is a compliance-led, risk-first tree surgery and arboricultural contractor working a proper mix of commercial and domestic sites, no two weeks the same. We don't treat the people on the tools as replaceable. Show up, give 100%, and you share in what we build.

We're looking for a competent lead climbing tree surgeon to carry out complex climbing and dismantling work safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing:

Lead climbing and aerial tree surgery across commercial and domestic jobs
Sectional dismantling, crown reductions, thinning, deadwooding and rigging
Working to BS3998 and current industry best practice
Following method statements and site risk assessments
Making sound risk decisions in the tree with minimal supervision
Mentoring trainee climbers and ground staff

What you'll need:

CS38 and CS39, current and in date
Aerial rescue current
CS30 and CS31
Competent and safe on rigging
Solid tree surgery and climbing experience across commercial and domestic sites
Full UK driving licence

£31,000 to £37,000 depending on tickets and experience
