Full job description

Overview

Join our friendly healthcare team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and patient well-being. In this caring position, you will deliver exceptional preventive dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a comfortable, positive experience for every patient while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

1 session per week on Thursdays 9-1. with qualified dental nurse support.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes, medical histories, and imaging results
Monitor patient comfort during procedures and provide reassurance to anxious patients
Support infection control protocols with the assistance of a qualified dental nurse.

Experience

Qualified and experience as a Dental Hygienist you must be GDC registered.
Knowledge of anatomy related to oral structures and dental tissues to accurately assess patient conditions
Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry, including radiography procedures
Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization standards in healthcare settings
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health maintenance

Pay: £40.00-£46.00 per hour
