Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for accounting and strong proficiency in various accounting software. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the accounts payable process, and assisting with general bookkeeping tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero and Sage
Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly
Assist with invoicing, billing, and expense tracking
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare financial reports as required for management review
Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews

Qualifications

Proven experience with Xero
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
